Some of our Inn History
The Inn at St. John is a thirty-nine room independently owned Inn. The building was built in 1897 as a hotel making it the oldest continually operating hotel in Portland. The Inn history is that it was built by railroad tycoon John Deering to accommodate rail passengers from the former train station across the street.
The Inn At St. John is a truly unique downtown Portland hotel offering competitive pricing and Victorian charm in a relaxing atmosphere.
